Crossing the bustling Sahab [desert] highway road from the Al Moasron – Sigma offices to the other side, he could not have foreseen this seemingly mundane act’s profound impact—the birth of the Al Moasron Woven Plastic Bags concept.
“The sight of makeshift homes dotting the landscape struck me, standing amidst the vast expanse of an empty, barren land,” explained Alaa Abu Soufeh.
It was here, amidst the stark realities of daily life, that the seeds of inspiration were planted.
Engaging in conversations with the local community, Alaa learned of many harsh economic struggles. Stories of individuals earning below the country’s minimum wage and struggling to make ends meet resonated deeply. A deliveryman’s plight, earning a meager income of 15 JOD [20 USD] per day, laid bare the harsh realities of survival in the face of financial hardship.
Moved by compassion and a desire for positive change, Alaa recognized an opportunity to make a difference. The idea of establishing a factory in this location took root—a beacon of hope amidst adversity. The vision was clear: to create employment opportunities for the marginalized, economically empowering women to work as seamstresses and provide youth training and employment in a technologically advanced setting.
Through establishing the Al Moasron Woven Plastic Bags factory, Alaa envisioned economic empowerment and a catalyst for social transformation. The prospect of improving the community’s economic status and offering a pathway to a brighter future resonated deeply.
